How VectHor works
A solar tracker with no moving parts
Instead of turning the panel towards the sun, VectHor turns the sunlight towards the panel. A vertical bifacial panel and two fixed reflectors capture more energy in the morning and in the afternoon, when it is needed most.
Power measured on 17 June 2026 at the IMN-CSIC test field (Madrid), compared with a conventional south-facing panel tilted at 30°.
How it works throughout the day
Low sun
Sunlight hits the vertical panel head-on.
Direct light + reflectors
Direct sunlight plus the light sent by the reflectors.
Midday
Both faces are lit; the surplus goes back to the sky.
+49% more energy from the same installed capacity
That day, VectHor produced 10.6 kWh per kWp, compared with 7.1 for the conventional panel.
